Guard Against Rock Chips and Cracks

Durable Windshield Protection Film in Peoria, IL

A Clear Shield Against Highway Debris

The windshield takes more direct hits from gravel and road debris than almost any other panel on your vehicle, especially on Illinois highways during construction season. Windshield protection film is a clear, optically correct layer installed over the glass to absorb that impact before it turns into a chip or crack. The film is built specifically for automotive glass, unlike aftermarket screen protectors, so it holds up to wiper use, washer fluid, and daily driving without clouding or peeling. It is a small, often overlooked upgrade that pays for itself the first time it stops a chip from turning into a crack.

Because the film is applied directly to the glass rather than replacing it, most drivers do not notice any difference in visibility or clarity through the windshield. It goes on in a single sheet that follows the curve of the glass, so there is no visible seam running across your line of sight. Most drivers forget it is even there until the first time it stops a chip from happening.

36-MONTH NON-WARRANTY REPLACEMENTS

During the 36 months following the original installation, if the vehicle owner would like to replace their WPF for a non-warrantable issue (glass replacement, chip, scratched film, etc.), unlimited replacements are offered at $299 for each instance at a participating Elite Dealer, with a valid registered Warranty. Replacements do not extend the 36-month replacement period. After the 36 months have concluded, the cost of film replacement shall be the current market cost.

One Layer, Full Coverage

Our Windshield Protection Film Package

Full Windshield Coverage

Starting at $630

Our windshield protection film package covers the full windshield in a single, optically clear layer designed to absorb rock chips and light debris impacts before they reach the glass itself. Coverage is available on its own or alongside any of our Paint Protection Film packages during the same appointment.

Easy to Add

Book It On Your Schedule

Booking this alongside a Paint Protection Film appointment is common, since both services address the same front-end road debris and can be completed in the same visit without any extra scheduling hassle. If your vehicle already has a Paint Protection Film package, adding windshield coverage later is just as easy to schedule. There is no need to wait for a specific milestone or anniversary date to add this coverage, since it installs independently of anything already on the vehicle. Whenever it fits your schedule is the right time to add it, whether that is alongside another service or entirely on its own. Just let us know what else you have booked and we will build it into the same appointment.

Fewer Chips, Fewer Replacements

A single rock chip can spread into a crack that requires a full windshield replacement, especially once cold weather sets in. Windshield protection film is a straightforward way to reduce how often that happens, particularly for anyone who spends a lot of time on the highway or follows work trucks and gravel haulers regularly.

Replacing a windshield outright costs far more than the film itself, which is part of why so many Peoria drivers treat this as a preventative investment rather than an optional extra. It is a small upfront cost weighed against a much larger repair bill down the road, and it is one of the easiest ways to avoid an unexpected windshield replacement bill altogether. Construction season on Illinois highways is when we see the biggest jump in clients asking about this coverage, once they have already dealt with one chip too many.

Round Out the Protection

Complete Front End Coverage

Windshield protection film pairs naturally with our paint protection film packages, since both address the same kind of road debris on the front of the vehicle. Booking them together also means the whole front end gets decontaminated and prepped in a single visit, rather than repeating that step for two separate appointments down the road.

If you are also interested in reducing glare and heat through the glass, ask us about our window tinting service as well. Between the heat rejection and the reduced glare, many clients find this pairing makes a noticeable difference on long summer commutes.

Together, these three services cover nearly every kind of everyday wear the front of a vehicle deals with on Illinois roads, from rock chips to sun fade to road grime. Building all three into one visit is usually the most efficient way to get complete coverage without scheduling around multiple separate appointments.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does windshield protection film affect visibility?

The film is optically clear and installed to maintain the same visibility and clarity as an untreated windshield.

  • Will it stop every rock chip?

No film can guarantee zero chips, but it is built to absorb the impact of most road debris before it reaches the glass, reducing how often chips occur.

  • Can I install this along with Paint Protection Film on the rest of the vehicle?

Many clients schedule windshield protection film in the same appointment as a Paint Protection Film package for complete front end coverage. Combining the two means the entire front of your vehicle gets addressed in a single visit.

  • How long does installation take?

Installation time depends on your appointment schedule and whether it is combined with other services. Contact us for an accurate timeframe.

  • Is windshield protection film removable?

It can be removed and replaced by a professional if it becomes damaged or worn over time.

  • Does the film work with my wipers?

The film is designed to hold up to normal wiper use and standard washer fluid without lifting or clouding, even during regular Illinois winter driving.
